LA CROSSE, Wis. – The board of directors for the Weber Center for the Performing Arts has appointed Jen Roberdeau to serve as Interim Executive Director. Her tenure began May 15.
The interim position fulfills a vacancy left by David Kilpatrick, who recently took a position as the Executive Director of the Des Moines Community Playhouse. Roberdeau will serve as the Interim Executive Director in a part-time capacity while a search is conducted for a permanent Executive Director.
In addition to her new duties at the Weber Center, Roberdeau serves as the Director of Audience Services and Marketing for the Viterbo University Fine Arts Center. She received a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Viterbo in 2004 with degrees in Arts Administration and Theatre and a Master of Business Administration from Viterbo in 2011.
She is also a former board member of the La Crosse Community Theatre (LCT) and has been seen on stage in several LCT productions. Both Viterbo University and LCT are member organizations of the Weber Center.
“I am excited for the opportunity to help guide the Weber Center through this transition as we search for a new Executive Director,” said Roberdeau. “I have been involved with the Weber Center both as a Viterbo employee and an LCT volunteer and look forward to continuing my involvement in the organization.”
“We chose Jen for this position because we felt she had a strong arts background and the leadership skills necessary to lead the organization through this transition,” said Michael Ranscht, vice-president of the Weber Center board of directors. “We look forward to working with her in the coming months.”
