Overview
Ballet La Crosse is proud to present A Little Princess for our fall production. Join us for this captivatingly touching story about Sarah Crewe, who must move from her beloved India to a boarding school in New York, while her father is called into the war in Europe. At Miss Minchin’s Seminary for Girls, Sarah warms to everyone she meets. She finds that sharing her stories of India with the other girls helps to ease her homesickness. When news comes that her father is declared lost in battle and she must earn her keep as a servant, her new friends do not abandon her. This timeless tale speaks to all ages with an uplifting message of love, faith – and remaining a princess – even through times of seeming misfortune. This choreographic tale by Dale Brannon (one of Mr. Kennet’s best friends) based on the book by Frances Hodgson Burnett, with music by Sir Arthur Sullivan in a unique arrangement by Ian Howard, will delight audiences of all ages.
