Weber Center Presents Lerner and Loewe Musical Revue

Wouldn't-It-Be-Lovely-Feature-2016Weber Center for the Performing Arts presents Wouldn’t It Be Lovely: A Lerner and Loewe Musical Revue starting July 7 and continuing Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evenings thru July 30, at 8 p.m. A cocktail hour on the Cleary Terrace will begin at 7 p.m. prior to each performance. Tickets are $21 each ($16 for ages 12 and under).

Wouldn’t It Be Lovely celebrates the talents of dazzling musical Broadway duo Alan Jay Lerner and Frederick Loewe, who wrote five of Broadway’s most beloved musicals: My Fair Lady, Brigadoon, Camelot, Gigi, and Paint Your Wagon. Wouldn’t It Be Lovely will feature showstopping tunes such as “I Could Have Danced All Night,” “Almost Like Being in Love,” “If Ever I Would Leave You,” “The Night they Invented Champagne,” and “They Call the Wind Maria”.

The cast of Wouldn’t It Be Lovely features opera and theater vocalists Karla Hughes and Gary Moss, who instruct vocal performance courses at Viterbo University’s Theatre Department of Fine Arts.The cast also includes Bridget Schwefel and Charlie Ward,with musical direction and piano by Matt Salvo.

Weber Center’s musical tribute to Lerner and Loewe is a special summertime fare,with all the joys of a river view without the heat or bugs. Prior to each performance,the Cleary Terrace will be open for cocktails overlooking the mighty Mississippi River. Performances will be held in the fully air-conditioned Veterans Studio Theatre. Patrons will enjoy intimate,imaginative musical performances in the comfort of an elegant cabaret setting.
