SUMMARY:America’s Sweethearts
DESCRIPTION:America loved the swinging sounds of female close-harmony groups even before The Andrews Sisters hit the airwaves with Bei Mir Bist du Schön in 1937. But audiences will hear those great vintage songs with fresh ears when America’s Sweethearts take the stage! These New York City-based ladies have performed across the USA at iconic spaces honoring our veterans (the Intrepid Air and Space Museum\, the WASP Museum)\, as well as large theatres and intimate cabaret venues\, getting crowds tapping their feet to hits like Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy as they celebrate history through their crystal-clear harmonies and colorful costumes. In their vibrant\, time-honored new show\, this spectacular trio tackles classics like Hold Tight–Hold Tight\, Happy Days Are Here Again\, Lullaby of Broadway\, and The Shoop Shoop Song (It’s In His Kiss). America’s Sweethearts charms audiences of all ages while navigating their way through a variety of trios\, duets\, and solo features…all with a slice of old-fashioned fun!Presented by the Viterbo University Fine Arts Center. \n\n\n\nIMPORTANT NOTICE:The Viterbo University Fine Arts Center’s official and exclusive ticketing partner is OvationTix. SUMMARY:Cruisin' Craft Beer and Film Festival
DESCRIPTION:  \nThe all ages film festival features films produced by local\, national and international filmmakers featuring bicycles\, bicyclists\, and bicycling in interesting\, creative\, and surprising ways. \nBeginning at 6pm (21+) \, the craft beer tasting will feature over 20 craft beers. \nSchedule of events:\n\nFilm Schedule \n\n3:00 pm – 4:30 pm\n\n\n – Bike Trip (10 Minutes)\n\nDirector: Tom Schroeder \nTwo people bike 500 miles to ask a question at a brewery. \n\n– The Moment (75 Minutes)\n\nIn the backwoods of British Columbia\, Canada\, three small but dedicated crews of adventure seekers were quietly changing the course of a sport and carving their paths in history.  And it was all happening unbeknownst to each other\, the cycling world\, and ultimately\, themselves.  This film is the origin story of a small movement of mountain bikers and filmmakers who rose up\, challenged the status quo\, and turned the sport of cycling on its head. This is a story that has never been told\, told by the people who lived it firsthand. \n 5:30 pm – 6:30 pm \nDaniel De Vise’ \n\n\nAuthor: Daniel Devisé \nThe Comeback: Greg Lemond\, the True King of American Cycling\, and a Legendary Tour de France \nGreg LeMond is an American sporting hero whose story would surely be rejected by Hollywood as too fanciful. It includes taking on and beating the French at their own game\, a near fatal shooting\, a career in apparently terminal decline\, an extraordinary comeback\, and a bitter feud with his successor. Remarkably\, it’s all true\, and The Comeback is the first book to document the full LeMond story in all its astonishing\, scarcely credible detail.” — author Richard Moore \n\n7:30 pm\nBicycle Thieves (90 minutes) \nDirector:Vittorio De Sica \nUnemployed Antonio is elated when he finally finds work hanging posters around war-torn Rome. His wife\, Maria\, sells the family’s bed linens to retrieve Antonio’s bicycle from the pawnshop so he can take the job. However\, disaster strikes when Antonio’s bicycle is stolen\, and his new job is doomed unless he can find the thief. With the help of his lively son\, Bruno\, Antonio combs the city\, growing increasingly desperate for justice. \n\n\n\n\nSpeaking Schedule \n\n3:30 pm – 4:30 pm\n\nTBD\n\n7:00 pm – 8:00 pm\n\nTami Plourde\nAs Owner and Director of Sale and Marketing at Pearl Street Brewery\, Tami will address the current state of the beer industry and the role women play.\n\n\n\n\nBeer Tasting\n\n3:00 pm – 7:00 pm\n\nMusic by Isaac Dummer\n\n\nPresented by Cruisin’ Craft Beer and Film Festival\n\nPricing\n$50 \nTicket includes: beer tasting\, films\, and guest speakers \n Get Your Tickets Now »

SUMMARY:Live in Central Park [Revisited]: Simon & Garfunkel
DESCRIPTION:September 19\, 1981\n\nIn 1981\, more than 500\,000 music fans gathered in Central Park to witness the now legendary reunion of folk duo Simon & Garfunkel. Billboard Magazine calls his singing\, “Cabaret romanticism of a high order.”  Touring extensively in the United States and Europe to sold-out performances and releasing five albums\, Lessack has proven himself both as performer and recording artist. \n\n\n\nJOHNNY RODGERS is an internationally-celebrated singer-songwriter\, pianist\, Broadway star\, and recording artist who is described by Stephen Holden\, from The New York Times\, as an entertainer “that can’t be found anywhere else” with “fused elements of Billy Joel\, Peter Allen and Johnny Mercer.” Johnny dazzles audiences with his enthusiastic mélange of Americana using his original songs like “Home To Mendocino”\, “One More Moment”\, and the tribute ballad “The Best Of You In Me” and favorites made popular by the likes of Ray Charles\, Sam Cooke\, Bill Withers\, and Elvis.
