SUMMARY:Take Me Home: The Music of John Denver
DESCRIPTION:“Jim Curry was over there sounding like John Denver… I closed my eyes and went back to the times when I worked with John.” Pete Huttlinger\, guitar player for John Denver.  Come join in the fun and take in the joy and hope of a full inspired evening of the music of America’s most beloved singer songwriter.  National touring performer Jim Curry will have you clapping your hands and singing along to hit after hit. \n\n\n\nFrom the very first song you will know why Jim was cast to be the voice of John Denver in the CBS movie “Take me home: the John Denver Story”.  Curry was chosen as a key performer in the induction of John Denver into the Colorado Music Hall of fame show\, and hosting the official John Denver Estate show that toured the United States and Australia\, because of his pure clear voice that really delivers the music of John Denver. \n\n\n\n“His voice was clear\, sweet and oftentimes brought the audience to tears with its sincerity. What more can you ask for from an artist? Especially one singing the great hits of America’s Troubadour. If you ever get the chance to “hang around” with Jim Curry as he plays the music of the great John Denver\, I highly recommend it.”   – Kevin Rolfe at Utah Concert Review \n\n\n\n\n\n\nDates\n\n\n\n\nAugust 10\, 2024 at 3:00 pm\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPricing

SUMMARY:Church and State
DESCRIPTION:Elections. The Twitter. Guns. God.. \n\n\n\nMusic\, Book & Story by Music by Steve Martin | Book & Story by Edie Brickell \n\n\n\nThree days before his bid for reelection\, in the wake of a school shooting in his hometown of Raleigh\, North Carolina\, a Republican U.S. senator makes an off-the-cuff comment to a blogger that gets leaked on “the Twitter\,” calling into question the senator’s stance on guns and God. As his devoutly Christian wife and liberal Jewish campaign manager try to contain the damage\, this look at how religion influences politics and how politics has become a religion is simultaneously funny\, heartbreaking\, and uplifting. \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\n\n\n\nDates\n\n\n\n\nSeptember 20\, 2024 – 7:30pm\n\n\n\nSeptember 21\, 2024 – 7:30pm\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPricing

SUMMARY:All Things Equal: The Life & Trials of Ruth Bader Ginsburg
DESCRIPTION:In this play\, Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg (“RBG”) welcomes a friend of the family to her cozy chambers to convey—over the course of ninety fascinating and often funny minutes—a sense of her life and trials: losing her mother the day before she graduated as valedictorian of her Brooklyn high school; being one of only nine young women studying law at Harvard while also raising a daughter and helping her husband battle cancer; fighting for women’s rights in the 1970s before condescending all-male courts; and taking courageous stands for human rights as a voice of reason amid a splintering and increasingly politicized Supreme Court. An evening with a great and compassionate icon of straight-thinking American justice emerges…an RBG who is not only “notorious” but victorious as she takes a stand for ordinary people facing the many challenges of a changing world. Presented by the Viterbo University Fine Arts Center. \n\n\n\nIMPORTANT NOTICE:The Viterbo University Fine Arts Center’s official and exclusive ticketing partner is OvationTix.
