SUMMARY:Almost Sunrise - Hope is on the Horizon
DESCRIPTION:https://www.webercenterarts.org/wp-content/uploads/2018/10/Almost-Sunrise-Theatrical-Trailer.mp4\n  \nAlmost Sunrise tells the inspiring story of two youngmen\, Tom Voss and Anthony Anderson\, who\, in an attempt to put their haunting Iraq combat experiences behind them\, embark on an extraordinary journey – a 2\,700-mile trek on foot across America. Will this epic pilgrimage be enough to release them from their self-destructive impulses and give them the chance to begin life anew? While the film exposes some of the brutality of war\, it doesn’t dwell there. It’s ultimately a story of hope and potential solutions. Most importantly\, the film reveals the promise of holistic practices for healing. When Tom signs up for a special breathing workshop for veterans\, he must confront his deepest spiritual identity. He encounters Father Thomas Keating\, a renowned Trappist monk who has counseled veterans for decades\, who gently illuminates the need to turn inward to achieve true peace – and gives guidance that culminates in a remarkable inner transformation rarely depicted on screen. Where the stereotypes of “the broken veteran” or “homecoming hero” leave off\, the film continues onward\, offering an unprecedented portrait of those who return from war; rich\, complex\, far more hopeful. Almost Sunrise allows us to connect with a universal human aspiration for happiness and through Tom and Anthony’s genuine search for it\, be reminded of our common soaring possibilities. The film also acts as an urgent call for communities to better understand these deep-seated psychic wounds\, and for the government to acknowledge and finally treat moral pain by using methods other than pills. Almost Sunrise deftly and movingly demonstrates the promise of holistic healing practices is on the horizon in a way that we cannot afford to ignore. \nFollowing the film\, one of the films two main characters Anthony Anderson will be speaking about the journey\, moral injury\, and the impact campaign surrounding the film. \nFor more information about the film and the impact campaign surrounding the film you can visit the “Almost Sunrise” official website here: http://sunrisedocumentary.com/ \nPresented by the Weber Center for the Performing Arts  \nTheater Rated – G \nPerformance located in the Lyche Theatre \nDate\nWednesday\, November 14 at 7:30 pm \nPricing\nFREE! SUMMARY:[Title of Show]
DESCRIPTION:A musical comedy about two guys writing a musical about two guys writing a musical!\nCheck out audience reactions to opening weekend of [title of show].\nhttps://www.webercenterarts.org/wp-content/uploads/2018/06/title-of-showPromo-1.mp4\n[title of show] official promo reel.\nhttps://www.webercenterarts.org/wp-content/uploads/2018/06/BampWEXPORT.mp4\n  \nJeff and Hunter\, two struggling writers\, hear about a new musical theatre festival. However\, the deadline for submissions is a mere three weeks away. With nothing to lose\, the pair decides to try to create something new with the help of their friends Susan\, Heidi and Mary on the eighty-eights. With the cast in place\, Jeff and Hunter begin a conversation about what to write about. Eventually\, Jeff suggests they write about what to write about. They make a pact to write up until the festival’s deadline and dream about the show changing their lives. [title of show]—taken from the space on the festival’s application form which asks for the [title of show]—follows Hunter and Jeff and their friends on their journey through the gauntlet of creative self-expression. In the span of 90 minutes they write and perform their show at the festival and learn lessons about themselves as people\, friends and artists. [title of show] is\, above all\, a love letter to the musical theatre—a uniquely American art form—and to the joy of collaboration. The musical received a Tony Award® nomination for Best Book of a Musical in 2009. \nPresented by Weber Center for the Performing Arts  \nTheater Rated – R \n[twocol_one] \nAll Performances are in the Veterans Studio Theatre\nDates\nFriday\, July 20 at 7:30 pm \nSaturday\, July 21 at 7:30 pm \nFriday\, July 27 at 7:30 pm \nSaturday\, July 28 at 7:30 pm \nFriday\, August 3 at 7:30 pm \nSaturday\, August 4 at 7:30 pm \nCast\n[/twocol_one][twocol_one_last] \nPricing\nGeneral admission: $25 \ntaxes and fees not included \n Get Your Tickets Now » \n \n\n

DESCRIPTION:  \nhttps://www.webercenterarts.org/wp-content/uploads/2017/12/Coppélia-Bolshoi-Ballet-in-Cinema-Official-trailer.mp4\nMusic by Léo Delibes. Choreography by Sergei Vikharev after Marius Petipa and Enrico Cecchetti.\nSwanhilda notices her fianceé Franz is infatuated with the beautiful Coppélia who sits reading on her balcony each day. Nearly breaking up the two sweethearts\, Coppélia is not what she seems and Swanhilda decides to teach Franz a lesson. \nThe Bolshoi’s unique version of Coppélia exhibits a fascinating reconstruction of the original 19th century choreography of this ebullient comedy involving a feisty heroine\, a boyish fianceé with a wandering eye\, and an old dollmaker.
